Read on ToI site that Shahid Afridi has finally conceded that Yuvraj Singh is a better batsman than him (LINK). Supposedly, the great debate of cricket started when Shahid was flipping through the old issues of a newspaper (Circa 1993) and read Imran khan's quote where he had claimed, predicted, forecasted and warned that Injamam was a better batsman than Sachin. The journalist sitting across in the archives section was the only one in audible range when Shahid spoke through gritted teeth, " If Alu can be better than Sachin, even I can be better than.....at least the last name in Indian team list....what is it, yeah, Yuvraj!!" The journalist expressed surprise at the claim and wanted to substantiate it further by asking the theoretical base for his claim. Afridi said," I am a Pathaan. We don't have theories....Bas bol diya to bol diya...kya kar lega tu?" The problem further aggravated when it was revealed through deep female-relative-incestuous-anatomical-descriptions that the journalist belonged to Punjab himself and like any other guy from Punjab, he believed that Yuvraj being the best batsman of the world was like a Holy truth which no-one dare fiddle with - not even that Baba Ram Rahim Karim Singhy thingy! The issue cooled down only after the rapid intervention of an office bell-boy who explained to Shahid that he found Yuvraj's name at the end of the list only because:
1. Zaheer Khan was unfit, hence not in the team
&
2. The list was sorted alphabetically.
Once the dispute was amicably solved, the bellboy couldn't resist asking one question, " How did that Imran Inzamam Sachin thing provoke you to make such a statement?" Shahid, whose Pathani blood had turned honey-sweet with a make-up glass of Punjabi Lassi by then amused-ly replied," Just like that! Imran paaji reminded me that we have an age-old habit of kicking some ass!"
